Roasting Services
We offer six distinct roasting services, each designed around specific brewing methods, business requirements, or taste preferences. Every option includes direct communication with our roasting team and flexible delivery scheduling.
Single-Origin Selection
Coffee from one specific farm or cooperative, roasted to highlight that origin's distinctive characteristics. We currently work with producers in Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, Kenya, and Brazil.
Each origin offers different flavor profiles. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe typically shows floral notes and bright acidity. Colombian Huila tends toward caramel sweetness with balanced body. Kenyan AA often presents bold berry-like flavors.
We source these directly or through importers with farm-level traceability. You'll know exactly where your coffee was grown, at what altitude, and how it was processed.
Minimum order: 5 kilograms
Typical delivery: 2-3 business days from roasting
Shelf life: Peak flavor within 2-4 weeks of roast date
CHF 28.50 per kilogram
House Blend Development
Custom blend creation tailored to your specifications. This involves testing multiple origin combinations, adjusting ratios, and refining the roast profile until it matches your requirements.
The development process typically takes three weeks. We start with a consultation to understand your taste preferences, target brewing method, and price constraints. Then we prepare initial samples for evaluation.
Most blends combine 2-4 origins. We might pair a bright Central American coffee with a fuller-bodied Indonesian, balancing acidity against sweetness. Each component gets roasted separately before blending, allowing precise flavor control.
Once finalized, we document the exact formula and roasting parameters. Future orders replicate this profile consistently, assuming origin availability.
Minimum development fee: CHF 350
Minimum order after development: 10 kilograms
Timeline: 3 weeks from consultation to final blend
CHF 42.00 per kilogram
Espresso-Optimized Roasting
Specialized roasting for espresso extraction, developed to work with modern machine pressures and temperatures. We account for your specific equipment, water hardness, and desired flavor intensity.
Espresso requires different roast development than filter methods. Beans need sufficient solubility to extract properly in 25-30 seconds, but not so dark that bitterness overwhelms other flavors.
We test each espresso profile using equipment similar to yours, adjusting grind size and extraction time to find the optimal brewing recipe. This recipe ships with your first order.
Includes initial consultation and up to two recipe adjustments based on your feedback during the first month.
Minimum order: 5 kilograms
Consultation included: Yes
Recipe refinement: Up to 2 adjustments in first month
CHF 36.75 per kilogram
Filter Coffee Profiles
Lighter roasts optimized for pour-over, drip brewers, French press, and similar methods. These profiles emphasize origin characteristics and flavor clarity over roast-derived flavors.
Filter brewing extracts coffee more gently than espresso, allowing subtle flavors to emerge. Our filter roasts stop development earlier, preserving acidity and highlighting nuanced fruit or floral notes.
Best suited for single-origin coffees where you want to taste the farm's terroir. We can also create filter-specific blends if you prefer complexity over single-origin clarity.
Works well with manual brewing methods like V60, Chemex, or Aeropress, as well as automatic drip machines.

Decaffeinated Options
Swiss Water Process decaffeinated coffee, roasted with the same attention as our caffeinated selections. The decaffeination happens before roasting, using only water and carbon filters—no chemical solvents.
Decaf coffee presents roasting challenges. The process that removes caffeine also affects bean structure, making them more brittle and requiring adjusted time-temperature curves.
We source decaf from the same regions as our regular offerings: Colombia, Guatemala, and Ethiopia. Flavor profiles won't match their caffeinated counterparts exactly, but they're closer than conventional decaf.
Available in both espresso and filter roast styles. Specify your preference when ordering.
Minimum order: 5 kilograms
Caffeine content: Less than 0.1% after processing
Roast options: Espresso or filter profile

Subscription Roasting
Regular deliveries of freshly roasted coffee on a schedule that matches your consumption rate. We adjust quantities based on your feedback, ensuring you never run out or accumulate stale inventory.
Choose between consistent origins year-round or seasonal rotations that change as harvest cycles progress. Some clients prefer predictability; others want variety.
Subscriptions include quarterly cupping sessions where we review performance, discuss any issues, and adjust profiles if needed. These sessions happen at our facility or yours, depending on your location.
Minimum commitment: 3 months
Delivery frequency: Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
Minimum per delivery: 10 kilograms

Getting Started
Most new clients begin with a sample order to evaluate quality before committing to larger quantities. We recommend ordering 5 kilograms split between two different origins or roast styles.
